by Angelina Park Sadly all our planned events and projects for the year have been postponed or cancelled because of the pandemic… But that hasn’t stopped our team from continuing our work! This month, our team came up with the idea of addressing the topics of ocean pollution and COVID-19 safety through hosting virtual coding workshops! In these workshops we planned to teach elementary and middle school students how to use Scratch to make their own games while learning about how to stay safe from the virus and the impacts of ocean pollution. During these times, it’s difficult to contact the team and even reach out to our community. But through the use of Facebook and other means of social media, our group has successfully reached out to various members in our community to encourage participation in this educational opportunity. Sure we’re all home and apart from each other, but our team is doing our best to stay connected and make an impact! Hopefully all goes well~
